Governor Akeredolu where is your empathy?

Recall that a cement-laden Dangote truck crashed at Akungba-Akoko killing nothing less than 10 people including students. Till date, the Governor never deem it fit to issue a press statement commemorating with the families that lost loved ones or visited the scene of the incident that claimed at least ten people he swore an oath to protect.

This won't pass as just an omission but a deliberate silence. Governor Akeredolu where is your empathy? Where is your leadership? You could have at least pretend you don't hate the students this much. Leadership without empathy is fake. These people perhaps will still be alive if you have fixed those bad roads or influence FG to fix it.

Should any of this lost soul have been children of your cabinet members would you have maintained this ridiculous silence? Or should we assume you don't want to give attention to the killings of the students because of "Dangote"

Dear governor, you can be silent as much as you wish. You can continue to act as if nothing happened but the world is noticing your very unusual silence. Not even the survivors who are still receiving treatment at FMC Owo has been reached out to by anyone in your government.

Mr Governor, we'll back. We are still burying our comrades.

Whatsapp To Let Users Message Without Their Phones

WhatsApp is testing a new feature that will let people message without using their phone for the first time. At present, WhatsApp is linked to a user’s phone. Its desktop and web apps need that device to be connected and receiving messages. But the new feature will let users send and receive messages “even if your phone battery is dead”. Up to four other devices – like PCs and tablets – can be used together, WhatsApp said. To begin with, the new feature will be rolled out as a beta test for a “small group of users”, and the team plans to improve performance and add features before enabling it for everyone. End-to-end encryption – a key selling point for WhatsApp – will still work under this new system, it said. Several other messaging apps already have such a feature, including rival encrypted app Signal, which requires a phone for sign-up, but not to exchange messages. But the feature has long been requested by WhatsApp users – of which there are a reported two billion. ‘A rethink’ In...

  •  Party asks lawmaker to quit, defector cites Buhari’s policies for decision The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has asked Senator Ishaku Abbo (Adamawa North) to vacate his seat in the Senate following his defection, yesterday, to the All Progressives Congress (APC). Its National Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbondiyan, in a statement said the lawmaker “should be aware of the provision of the Constitution which made it compulsory for any member of the National Assembly who defected to another party to immediately vacate his seat.” According to him, the main opposition is not fazed by Abbo’s decision. “Abbo is fully aware of the constitutional implication of his decision to defect to another party, which is that he cannot continue to occupy the seat of the PDP in the Senate,” he clarified. The party said it would take immediate steps to ensure the senator does not remain in the upper legislative chamber. “The place of any senator who changed parties except on the grounds provi...
