Fantasy Premier League

Fantasy football (less commonly referred to as fantasy association football worldwide) is a game in which participants assemble an imaginary team of real-life footballers and score points based on those players' actual statistical performance or their perceived contribution on the field of play.

Fantasy Premier League is an online Fantasy Football game. The idea is to create a team of 15 players who play in the Premier League.

As soon as you sign up you will be given 100 pounds and you have to select your team within that 100 pounds.

The price of players varies from 4.0 - 13.0 pounds depending upon their performances. Initially, they start with a price that depends upon how the player played last season and then the price may change accordingly depending upon his current performances.

Fantasy premier league is so much fun. Here I'll be telling you all the things you should know about FPL.

How to register?

It's a simple process. First, you need to go on the Premier league's official website or download the app and have to sign up with your e-mail account.

How to play FPL?

Once you are done with the registration now you have to choose 15 players in your team. The budget is limited to 100 Million

It's a simple game.

First, sign up for the league at Fantasy Premier League

After the registration process, you would be given £100 million to select a squad of 15 players from a pool of players who play in the Premier League.

There are a few rules for selecting the players.

You need to pick 2 goalkeepers, 5 defenders, 5 midfielders and 3 forwards

You cannot choose more than three players from the same premier league team.

Each player cost in the range of £4m to £13.2m. Your squad value i.e, the sum of the cost of all the players in your squad should not exceed £100

After choosing the team, choose your Captain and Vice-Captain. I'll explain about choosing them from your squad a little later.

Your squad is ready. Now you need to choose the starting XI from your squad. There are a couple of rules here

Your team should have a goalkeeper.

You should have at least 3 defenders in your starting XI. You can pick the rest of the starting XI as way you please.

The four players left in the squad are your substitutes.

Scoring

For every matchday, your team will be awarded points based on the player performance(Ya! In real life) in that matchday. The scoring is based on the following rules.

For playing up to 60 minutes -> 1

For playing 60 minutes or more -> 2

For each goal scored by a goalkeeper or defender -> 6

For each goal scored by a midfielder -> 5

For each goal scored by a forward -> 4

For each goal assist -> 3

For a clean sheet by a goalkeeper or defender -> 4

For a clean sheet by a midfielder -> 1

For every 3 shot saves by a goalkeeper -> 1

For each penalty save -> 5

For each penalty miss -> -2

Bonus points for the best players in a match -> 1-3

For every 2 goals conceded by a goalkeeper or defender -> -1

For each yellow card -> -1

For each red card -> -3

For each own goal -> -2

So your Matchday score is the total of your player's scores.

A few things to keep in mind.

Your Captains score will be doubled in calculating your total score.

In case your captain does not play that match day, your wise captain's score will be doubled instead.

In case a player in your starting XI did not play that matchday he will be replaced by your first substitute.

Similarly, if more players in your starting XI don't play they are replaced by your substitutes. This is done separately for your goalkeeper and your outfield players.

Transfers.

You will be allowed one free transfer before the start of each matchday using which you can replace a player in your squad. Further transfers would cost you your matchday points.

You will be given 2 wild cards, one for each half of the season. Using a wild card you can use unlimited transfers for that matchday.

Unused transfers carry forward to the next matchday

Chips

There are four types of chips(including the wildcard). You can use only one of them for a matchday. Three of them can be played only once in a season. They are

All-out attack- you can field a team with only two defenders

Triple caption- captain earns triple points

Bench points- substitutes' points also counted

Leagues and cup competition

Your points are totalled for each match week. By default, you will be enrolled in a few big leagues. You can also create and join other leagues

There is also a knockout style cup competition in the second half of the season.

Enjoy playing

What I told Sunday Igboho –Tunde Bakare

Herdsmen crisis: What I told Sunday Igboho –Tunde Bakare “Immediately, Sunday Igboho gave that ultimatum, I knew there was trouble if nothing was done immediately. And he carried out what he said he would carry out. “What did I do? As an individual, I found a way of reaching out to him (Igboho). I have never met him before, never spoken to him before but I reached out to him and after a while, he called me and I said, I appeal to you by the mercies of God, two wrongs cannot make a right, you have proved your point, let us find alternative solution so that there would be no bloodbath. “He promised to come and see me in Lagos and I had made preparations for him to come but unfortunately, his father took ill and he had to take him to the hospital. “I followed also to ensure I prayed for the father. I told him, I am not saying you are right or you are wrong, that is not the issue but please, if you carry out this threat, it would lead to something bigger than you and you do not want t...

The Brief History of Sunday Igboho

The Brief History of Igboho Igboho occupies a key place in the history of the old Oyo Empire. Whilst Oyo is an integral part in the history of Yoruba, Igboho’s contribution to the sustainability of Oyo Empire can neither be erased nor expunged. The origin of Igboho started with the migration of Gbage from Ilesha. There was a chieftaincy tussle then, where the younger brother of Gbage was installed as the Owa. The (aggrieved elder) brother left the kingdom to give peace a chance. That senior brother that left the palace of Owa was called Gbage Olabinukuro and founded his own village called Ebiti. All his supporters, including hunters, followed him to this new abode. At that period in Yoruba history, there was Fulani invasion of old Oyo Empire. Alaafin Ofinran and his people were forced to vacate their home. When Alaafin got to Ebiti, he met Gbage who had migrated from Ilesha. Alaafin Ofinran saw that Gbage was a powerful man who had a lot of charms and was very formidable in the act of ...
