Friendship and Costs- Bitter Truths

Some people are where they are today because they made great friends, some are languishing in pain today because they failed to listen to wise counsel. Some attained great heights because they have someone snaping them back to reality when they stray. True to the saying 'the friends you keep will either make you or mar you.

WHO IS YOUR FRIEND? CAN YOU BOAST ABOUT SUCH PERSON IN PUBLIC?
FRIENDS: The people who make you laugh a little louder, smile a little brighter and make your life a little better. Try your best not to get into a toxic friendship or relationship. Two is a company, three is a crowd. Do not keep friends that will make you unable to voice out your feelings when they are making you uncomfortable. Be happy, be who you want to be. If they don't like it, let them be, as the saying goes, 'happiness is a choice'.
Life is not all about pleasing others. Make yourself a priority once in a while, it is not selfishness, it is a necessity.
~Are your good friends avoiding you and you seem as though you are gonna lose your mind?
Dont worry, have you ever noticed that people avoid expensive things when they cant afford them.
~Are you left with no one to talk to as a friend?
We've all been there but dont worry, lonely hours is the best time in life to speak to the most trusted person in the world-God and yourself.
~Are you scared of leaving the friends who are having a bad influence on you because you are scared of facing the world alone?
I know it hurts but the best thing is to think of how better your life can be without them and work towards it.
~Did your clique abandon you or told you off that you cant be like or with them?

Wipe those sorry tears, throw your hair back, your chin forward and walk with a steady gait. The best reward for that is success, only your success story can silence them so stop sulking and get to work. The ball is in your court.
~Did the people whom you expected to speak on your behalf put you down? I feel your pain.
In the time of crises, i was not hurt by the harsh words of my enemies but by the silence of my friends. It only mean 1 thing. That all you need in life is to be optimistic. Expect the best and hope for the worst. Let it not drag you down, instead see it as a stepping stone to success.
~Have you ever walked into a gathering, office or hall and every one stopped talking?
Looks like they were talking about you and it only means 2 things: you did something they could not do or they tried to imitate your life style but failed. So What? Put in more styles to your step and walk gracefully across. Smile at them and it will keep them wondering what you are up to. #have you ever noticed that we are hurt and betrayed most by the least people on our mind.?# ~The bitter truth is that not everyone will like or love you so try your best to live a modest, humble and simple life with the people that cares most. Besides no one is obligated to love you..

What I told Sunday Igboho –Tunde Bakare

Herdsmen crisis: What I told Sunday Igboho –Tunde Bakare “Immediately, Sunday Igboho gave that ultimatum, I knew there was trouble if nothing was done immediately. And he carried out what he said he would carry out. “What did I do? As an individual, I found a way of reaching out to him (Igboho). I have never met him before, never spoken to him before but I reached out to him and after a while, he called me and I said, I appeal to you by the mercies of God, two wrongs cannot make a right, you have proved your point, let us find alternative solution so that there would be no bloodbath. “He promised to come and see me in Lagos and I had made preparations for him to come but unfortunately, his father took ill and he had to take him to the hospital. “I followed also to ensure I prayed for the father. I told him, I am not saying you are right or you are wrong, that is not the issue but please, if you carry out this threat, it would lead to something bigger than you and you do not want t...

The Brief History of Sunday Igboho

The Brief History of Igboho Igboho occupies a key place in the history of the old Oyo Empire. Whilst Oyo is an integral part in the history of Yoruba, Igboho’s contribution to the sustainability of Oyo Empire can neither be erased nor expunged. The origin of Igboho started with the migration of Gbage from Ilesha. There was a chieftaincy tussle then, where the younger brother of Gbage was installed as the Owa. The (aggrieved elder) brother left the kingdom to give peace a chance. That senior brother that left the palace of Owa was called Gbage Olabinukuro and founded his own village called Ebiti. All his supporters, including hunters, followed him to this new abode. At that period in Yoruba history, there was Fulani invasion of old Oyo Empire. Alaafin Ofinran and his people were forced to vacate their home. When Alaafin got to Ebiti, he met Gbage who had migrated from Ilesha. Alaafin Ofinran saw that Gbage was a powerful man who had a lot of charms and was very formidable in the act of ...
