Man allegedly stabs partner to death for refusing to register her new car in his name

  A Nigerian man has been accused of stabbing his partner to death for refusing to register her new car in his name. Facebook user, Ngozi Ikebuaso alleged that the man carried out the act with the help of his 16-year-old nephew. It was learnt that the deceased refused registering the car in the man's name, on grounds of him not paying her bride price even though they've been co-habiting for 8 years.  Ikebuaso wrote;  A man with the help of his 16 years old nephew stabbed his wife to death because she refused to use his name in her new bought car documents. The woman said she can’t use his name on the documents because the said man never paid her pride price (they are just leave in lovers. Di na nwuye ndi Lagos) and have not married her after living together for 8 years. They locked her in immediately she came back from shop and killed her. This is a jobless man that has been feeding off the woman. This is so sad

Lai Mohammed denies announcing N5m hate speech fine

 Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed has denied announcing an increment in the fine for hate speech from N500,000 to N5m. The minister had however made the announcement in August and also explained that the fine was increased to deter people willingly violating the provision to destabilise the country. However in a counter-affidavit in response to an originating motion filed by human rights lawyer, Inibehe Effiong to challenge the imposition of N5m fine on Nigeria Info 99.3FM, Lagos, and the threat by the National Broadcasting Commission to punish other broadcast stations in the country over alleged hate speech, Lai Mohammed denied making the announcement.  An affidavit deposed to by a Litigation Secretary at the Federal Ministry of Information and Culture, Sunday Ojobo read; “Paragraph 19 is denied. Stop calling Friday 'Black Friday', its a holy day for Muslims - Kano Hisbah Board writes radio station

 Kano Hisbah has reportedly written a notice to Cool FM, demanding that they stop calling Friday 'Black Friday' ahead of a "Black Friday Sales" expected to be conducted today November 27 According to the Sharia Police, majority of Kano residents are Muslims and they consider Friday a holy day.  The notice also disclosed that Hisbah corps will be "around for surveillance purposes" with a view of stopping immoral activities at the event as well as maintain peace, harmony and stability in the state. 

Meet 21-year-old Boy Who Feeds On Grass, Can’t Speak and Stays In The Forest

  A video of Zanzimana Ellie, a Rwanda boy who feeds on grass and prefers to live in the forest have surfaced on social media. Reports gathered that Ellie who is 21 years old cannot speak, eats grass and prefers to live in the forest like an animal. According to his mother, Ellie despite being a special child, is a blessing from God, and an answer to her prayers as she and her husband stayed several years without a child. She confirmed that he doesn’t eat the food she prepares for him, but rather prefers feeding on fruits like bananas and most of the time grasses, adding that, people in their community calls him monkey.

PDP kicks as Senator Abbo defects to APC

  •  Party asks lawmaker to quit, defector cites Buhari’s policies for decision The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has asked Senator Ishaku Abbo (Adamawa North) to vacate his seat in the Senate following his defection, yesterday, to the All Progressives Congress (APC). Its National Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbondiyan, in a statement said the lawmaker “should be aware of the provision of the Constitution which made it compulsory for any member of the National Assembly who defected to another party to immediately vacate his seat.” According to him, the main opposition is not fazed by Abbo’s decision. “Abbo is fully aware of the constitutional implication of his decision to defect to another party, which is that he cannot continue to occupy the seat of the PDP in the Senate,” he clarified. FOOTBALL LEGEND, DIEGO ARMANDO MARADONA DIES AT 60

  There are reports in Argentina that Diego Armando Maradona suffered a cardiac arrest today and has died aged 60. Argentine newspapers Clarin and Ole claim the World Cup winner suffered a cardiorespiratory arrest on Wednesday morning local time in the town of Tigre. Maradona only recently had surgery to remove a blood clot from his brain, following a fall. Following the operation on his brain, there were medical staff who remained at Maradona's home to keep him under observation. A cardiorespiratory arrest means his heart stopped and he was not breathing, so had to be resuscitated.  According to an updated report by Clarin, Maradona has died.
